Sanitary-Epidemiological Certificates and Medical Devices Registration  
Sanitary-Epidemiological Certificate is mandatory related to the products, for which verification and monitoring of sanitary-epidemiological characteristics are obligatory requirements of the Federal Law of Sanitary Epidemiological Safety of Population, is below:

• Food products
• Commodities for children
• Materials, equipment, matters for water-supply and cleanings of sewage
• Perfume-Cosmetic facilities
• Chemical and petrochemical products, commodities of household chemical goods
• Polymeric and synthetic materials for building, transport, furniture, clothes and footwear
• Products of engineering industry and instrument-making of production, medical and domestic setting
• Educational editions, polygraph products for children and teenagers
• Materials and wares, contacting with a skin of human being, clothes, footwear
• Sources of ionizing radiation, radio-active matters
• Building stuff and materials, wastes of productions for the reusable processing, scrap-metal
• Cigarette and tobacco stuff
• Facilities of individual defence
• Pesticides and agrochemicals
• Commodities and equipment, contacting with food products
• Equipment and materials for filtration of air

Sanitary-Epidemiological Certificates are issued by the Government Body of Sanitary-Epidemiological Service of Russian Federation (Department of Health Ministry). 
If the products, listed above, must have an obligatory GOST R certification system, GOST R certification of such products is implemented only after the receipt of Sanitary-Epidemiological Certificate on these products.

In the case of medical devices or drugs according to Federal Law on Medical Product both Product Registration and Sanitary-Epidemiological Certificate are required.
 
Rostechnadzor Approval (RTN Permit to Use)
In accordance with Industrial Safety Law of Dangerous Manufacturing Entity, an equipment which is used on dangerous industrial objects, must go through the procedure of obligatory conformity assessment — Rostechnadzor (RTN) expert examination. This procedure consists of 2 stages:

• GOST R certification of equipment
• RTN approval for the equipment use on a dangerous manufacturing entity and issuance of RTN Permit to Use.

Rostechnadzor is Russian federal monitoring agency, which is personally liable for industrial safety in Russian federation. Rostechnadzor issues normative acts and executes supervisions for hazardous industrial project. BSI provides complete service of Rostechnadzor approval, such as:

• Getting of Rostechnadzor approvals for equipment

Rostechnadzor approval is necessary for the equipment of the followings categories:

• Equipment for a production, storages, processing, transporting of hazardous substances
• Equipment for oil and gas industries
• Equipment, operates under high pressure and at high temperatures
• Equipment for the metallurgy
• Equipment for mountain and underground works.

Fire Safety Certification
Materials, equipment and goods which are subject to an obligatory fire certification:

• Facilities, which provide fire safety
• Matters and materials
• Build constructions and wares
• Cable and electric devices
• Heat sources

In case, if products are subject to an obligatory fire certification safety system, certificate of fire safety is inalienable part of GOST R certificate.

Telecom Equipment Certification and Declaration

Production, connected with wire, opticfibre or radio interface to Common Telecommunication Network of Russian Federation, is subject of obligatory conformity assessment. The rules of conformity assessment of telecommunication equipment are certain in a Federal Telecommunication Law. Equipment conformity assessment can be in obligatory certification’s form or obligatory declaration of conformity, depending on function of equipment.

Telecom Declaration
For a list, which is bellow, the conformity assessment is realized in the form of declaration of conformity:

• All terminal equipment, connected to the common telecommunication network of Russian Federation
• Telematic service servers
• Software and hardware integrated solution, which afford their services of mobile and internet operators (SMS, WAP, multimedia, VOIP, etc.)
• Twisted pair cable, opticfibre
• Electric power equipment

Telecom Certification
Equipment is subject of obligatory certification, if it provides following functions and services:

• Switching and routing
• Digital transmission systems
• Billing services
• Control system and monitoring
• Communication equipment with radio interface
• Equipment and software for operatively-search retrieval
